My name is Russ Palmer and I am a first year doctoral student in the Learning, Design, and Technology program at the University of Georgia.  I am also an instructional designer at the UGA College of Pharmacy where I have worked for almost 12 years in several roles related to learning and technology.  I earned a B.A. in History and a M.Ed. in Learning, Design, and Technology from UGA.  My current research interests include real-world problem solving, the design of problem-solving learning environments, and the use of cognitive task analysis as a tool for instructional design.  My goal in the program is to develop a foundation for future work and to enjoy my time as a learner in this community.
