Instructional Design and Technology Experience
Instructional Design and Development

Conduct instructional needs assessments to drive course designs.

Work with instructors to design effective instructional strategies congruent with course objectives and course assessments.

Develop interactive e-learning for faculty using multimedia development tools including e-learning authoring tools, video production tools, web 2.0 tools and other tools as necessary.

Apply a research-based model to design and develop video-enhanced case based e-learning programs for doctor of pharmacy courses.

Co-develop and implement a faculty development program on course design for College of Pharmacy faculty.

Facilitation of Instructional Delivery

Chose, integrated, and maintained audio-visual solutions in all physical learning spaces.

Worked with a team to develop and integrate a statewide video conferencing network critical to administrative functions and the delivery of the 3rd year doctor of pharmacy curriculum.

Administered and maintained video conferencing infrastructure including over 25 Cisco Codecs, Cisco Management Suite Server, Cisco Video Communications Server, Cisco Content Server, and Codian Bridge.

Facilitated daily video conferencing connections for all locations within the network.

Consulted with faculty on the effective use of educational technology.
Management of Student Resources

Supported students with the use of technology in the college's student learning center, including a full computer lab, printing system, and wireless network.

Worked in conjunction with the college IT staff to troubleshoot technical problems in the student learning center.

Advised students on the use of electronic library resources such as Galileo, Pubmed, Micromedex, Drug Facts and Comparisons, and other databases.

Maintained the library collection in the student learning center, including purchase of all books and journals, and catalog of all resources.

Co-managed student workers in the student learning center.

Co-Investigator on current research project at UGA College of Pharmacy: Incorporating case-based learning activities to enhance Pharmacy students’ reflective thinking and clinical decision making.
